Fulcrum’s is an imaginative response to the Moreton Bay region and the ordinary civic spaces of the Caboolture Town Square. It draws on their layered cultural and ecological presence.

Metaphorically, a fulcrum is a central point from which a major system balances, pivots, or turns through a small amount of applied energy. By adopting the principals of urban acupuncture which are characterised as small interventions with city systems, Fulcrum aims to activate the existing yet latent energies and increase their flows and circulation.

Fulcrum’s playful, narrative-driven aesthetics use the hyper real visual language of simulations and games, combined with cinematic framing to stimulate the imagination and momentarily alter citizens’ perceptions. These elements bring the omnipresent, yet perhaps unnoticed or overlooked aspects of everyday life to the fore so they may become newly visible
