A Community Project
These children are the face of Harlesden in North West London, the most ethnically diverse community in the world. I was asked to make their portraits to raise funds for the school. With more than a hundred images in this series, created in just 20 minutes, I am fascinated by the individually unique qualities of each child's face.
They are wearing the Easter bonnets that they made in class and demonstrated at one of their school's assemblies, which are as diverse as the community itself, celebrating and honouring Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, Christian and Pagan festivals alike.
